Do you still own the rights to some stories? If so, put the last issue up on LULU as a sort of "saying goodbye" edition. Or combine issue 1 eith issue 2. It won't cost you a dime.

All magazines -- even professional and semi-professional -- depend on some source of ADVERTISING. You need to put the magazine back by about two months and, since it's available on Amazon with ISBN, offer super cheap advertising rates just to get the thing published and out there. Also, this is the digital age. You know, the iPhone, the Blackberry, most of all the AMAZON KINDLE. There is no reason why you can't charge 10 to 40 dollar per square page advertising, make a digital version on Amazon Kindle accessible (most important), as well as a SAMPLE PDF to download direct from this site. Here, try this publisher: www.createspace.com

Amazon owns them. If you can afford it between Halloween and Thanksgiving, premiere then with ALL PURCHASED STORIES IN IT. This way at least you get them out of the way. Worry about Issue Three later, worry about issue Two NOW. That should be your focus.

Matter of fact, after issue two premieres, I would put out a FREE PDF of Issue One to download... have readers and customers sample your free magazine
for possible future subscribing or buying. Many venues are doing this.

what about the subs you received prior to this "you must first buy in order to be assured we'll respond to your sub" policy. you should at least clarify if you intend to introduce it retroactively...

Thank you for the comment. The death wasn't sudden and was more of a relief than anything else and the trip was part business and part vacation so we'll pretend it was the business part that was hacked off.

Sorry to hear about the loss in your family. Yes, a situation like that does make you look inward about your mortality and want to do more while you're still here. On that note, also sorry to hear your vacation was hacked in half. Better luck next trip.

We were finally released back into the wild a week after being taken captive. It took and entire week out of our two week trip. We finally got home at the end of June... Then it was on to the next trial.

Thanks for asking Peggy!
